An organisation supported by Class40
Created and organised by Class40, Trin'40 marks an important milestone: for the first time, the class is responsible for the entire organisation of one of its own races. This demonstrates a clear desire to structure and control its sporting calendar, while offering a format that meets the expectations of the skippers.
To guarantee a rigorous and secure sporting environment, Class40 draws on the recognised expertise of the Société Nautique de La Trinité-sur-Mer (SNT), a long-standing partner of major nautical events.
Route
Setting sail from La Trinité-sur-Mer, the fleet embarks on a demanding and comprehensive 1,200-mile course. After a tactical exit from Quiberon Bay, the solo sailors set course for the formidable Raz de Sein, the first test where tide timing is crucial.
The route continues across the English Channel to the south of England, where sailors will need to navigate between coastal effects, maritime traffic and tight strategic choices.
They then head out to sea for a long oceanic descent towards Cape Finisterre, the scene of great slides or tricky weather transitions depending on the conditions.
The final climb to La Trinité-sur-Mer requires lucidity and endurance. A dense and technical course, designed to reveal the most accomplished sailors.
