Vincent Riou forced to retire from the Trin’40

On Monday, April 27, Vincent Riou informed race management that he was forced to abandon the Trin’40 due to headsail issues that he has been unable to resolve at sea.

He explains:
“I’ve had a problem with my J1 for two days. I did a temporary fix while heading down towards Spain. Unfortunately, it failed again last night. Nothing serious, but to avoid the risk of tearing it, I chose to withdraw from the race and head straight for Loctudy. Thanks to everyone for the support for this new season. See you very soon.”
